WELCOME!

Born in 1950 and raised in Central California, I have been writing–in one form or another–as long as I can remember.  My letter-writing skills have been highly praised throughout the years, and it was one of my letters that landed me a response from President Dwight D. Eisenhower when I was a child, and another, my third stepfather.  I’ve had two of my true stories, “The Cuff Button” and “The Napkins” published in an anthology in Michigan, I have published several newsletters and letters to the editor, and my article, “Living With Chronic Pain” has been featured on a popular social website.

After over 100 re-locations covering nine different states, three stepfathers–the first of whom died at 94 when I was 11–two molestations, two rapes, three threats on my life, spending over half of 2006 in the women’s emergency homeless shelter of a mission in Michigan, being the victim of domestic violence, four marriages, raising two severely emotionally disturbed children, missing out on 22 years of my youngest daughter’s life, and spending 13 months as a bona fide mountain woman 7,000 feet up Wineglass Mountain just outside of Livingston, Montana, I truly am an emerging writer with a lot to say!

I am currently working on my memoirs titled BRUSSELS SPROUTS & LEMONADE:  The Extraordinary Story of an Ordinary Woman, and make my home in Joplin, Missouri, where I intend to sprout roots.  I invite you to peruse my stories and articles, and join me on my walk of faith on the path toward redemption and along my road to becoming a published author.
